Just flicked through this fairly interesting report on Asia’s virtual goods market, put out by the folks over at +8*. As they say in their analysis, it’s not earth shattering information to those of us on this side of the planet, but it just might shock the heck out of folks in Europe and North America.
While their math is only an approximation, US$5 billion is not a wholly unreasonable proposition. Virtual items are huge here, making the US market seem almost trivial by comparison.
